ART - Due to the interest in our Art program, Mead offers two art teachers and an Honors Art class. These encourage creativity and self-expression through various mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
AVID - AVID helps schools and teachers make learning more meaningful and engaging. Research tells us that the most powerful influence on academic achievement is a caring teacher. When students care and connect to both their learning and their teacher, they will succeed!
FINE ARTS - Our Fine Arts classes include Choir, Band, Jazz Band and Orchestra. Students might explore vocal talents or learn a musical instrument. These classes include daily work as well as performance in concerts and district common assessments that take place in the spring.
LEADERSHIP - The Leadership fosters leadership, discipline, and citizenship. Students participate in structured activities that teach responsibility, teamwork, and personal development. The program emphasizes physical fitness, citizenship, and community service.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION (PE) - Our PE program focuses on building physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits through various sports, activities, and exercise routines. Students participate in team sports, fitness challenges, and activities that promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
TECHNOLOGY - Technology classes include a range of topics designed to prepare students for the future. This includes Gaming, Video Production, Robotics, Manufacturing/Engineering and Computer Studies.
